A new options package adds more visual accessories and equipment to the 2014 BMW 6 Series. The new M Sport Edition treatment is available for all three 6 Series bodystyles, the two-door coupe and convertible, as well as the four-door Gran Coupe.

On the outside, the M Sport Edition upgrades begin with 19-inch double-five-spoke wheels, LED foglights, blacked-out chrome trim, black-painted brake calipers, dark-chrome exhaust tips, LED headlights, and a more aggressive M bodykit. The cabin benefits from an M leather-wrapped steering wheel, M door-sill plates, leather/Alcantara sports seats, a Nappa leather-covered dashboard, the ConnectedDrive Navigation system, rear parking sensors, a backup camera, and an upgraded sound system.

The M Sport Edition is offered both for BMW 640i models, which use a 315-hp, turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine; and the 650i and 650i xDrive, which use a 445-hp, twin-turbo 4.4-liter V-8. However, 650i and 650i xDrive M Sport Edition cars also benefit from lane departure warning, blind spot warning, 360-degree camera, and speed limit information systems as standard.

As an added bonus, BMW will let buyers of the M Sport Edition select Sakhir Orange exterior paint, which was previously available only on the high-performance M6. Inside, a special Opal white Merino leather with Sakhir Orange stitching is exclusive to the M Sport Edition.

Pricing for the 2014 BMW 640i M Sport Edition coupe starts at $80,625 (after a $925 destination charge), the convertible costs $87,925, and the Gran Coupe is $83,325. The 650i M Sport Edition coupe begins at $91,925, the convertible is $99,225, and the Gran Coupe starts at $94,625.

The 2014 BMW 6 Series M Sport Edition goes on sale this June.
